Shared Secrets is a fully responsive notes website built for engineering students. Every note on it was written by hand, made explanatory on purpose, and published so no junior would have to go looking for what already existed. It was my first modern website. Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The Story

In autonomous engineering colleges, good study notes are hard to find. There is no central repository, no guaranteed resource, no one place to go. You either know the right senior, or you spend weeks stitching together fragments from different sources, never quite sure if you have everything you need.
I was in first and second year when I started feeling that gap. So I did what made sense at the time: I made my own notes. Detailed ones. The kind I wished someone had handed me on day one.
By third year, I had a full set. And then came the obvious question: why keep them to myself?
What I Built

Shared Secrets
A clean, responsive website where every note I had made was now one click away. Organized, accessible, no login required. A junior at any screen size — phone, tablet, laptop — could land on the site and find what they needed without asking anyone.
The name came naturally. Notes feel like secrets when you don't know who has them. Sharing them makes them something else entirely.
Built with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript — media queries, transitions, hover effects, box shadows.

I did not expect the messages. I built the website, shared the link, and moved on. Then the
emails started coming in.
"I can't tell you how much this has helped all of my friends and classmates. Agar aap nahi hote to pata nahi kya hota. Thank you dill ♥️ se for sharing and keeping these notes. Thank you so much for everything you have done."

The one that stayed with me was the fourth message. Someone took the time to write a full email apologizing for taking up inbox space, worried they were disturbing me just to say thank you.
They called it a lifeline. They said their whole class had used it.
I built the website in a few weeks. It helped people I have never met, through exams I was not
in the room for, in subjects I had already moved past.
That is what sharing actually looks like.

I did not build Shared Secrets to solve a product problem. I built it because I remembered what it felt like to not have what I needed, and I had it now, and giving it away cost me nothing.
That instinct to share what you know, to make the path a little easier for the person behind you is what the name is actually about.
